Seeking Light Beyond the Grey
With sleepy eyes, in hushed stillness,
I grasp a hundred elusive things,
And paint a thousand images!
Holding onto countless emotions,
I heave a myriad of sighs;
Bearing the shackles of destiny,
I fearlessly seek a moment’s joy!
Enduring a hundred unbearable trials,
Amidst the neglect of weary faith,
I exhale a poisonous breath;
Yet, beyond all the greyness,
I weave dreams of vibrant color—
Let this earthly life remain grey;
It is a colorful hereafter
That I ultimately seek!
